Medjugorje: Our Lady tells you how you must look to the future

June 10, 1982
You are wrong when you look to the future thinking only of wars, punishments, evil. If you always think of evil, you are already on the road to meet it. For the Christian there is only one attitude towards the future: the hope of salvation. Your task is to accept divine peace, live it and spread it. And not in words, but with life.
Some passages from the Bible that can help us understand this message.
1 Chronicles 22,7-13
David said to Solomon: “My son, I had decided to build a temple in the name of the Lord my God. But this word of the Lord was addressed to me: You have shed too much blood and made great wars; therefore you will not build the temple in my name, because you have spilled too much blood on the earth before me. Behold, a son will be born to you, who will be a man of peace; I will grant him peace of mind from all his enemies around him. He will be called Solomon. In his days I will grant peace and tranquility to Israel. He will build a temple to my name; he will be son to me and I will be father to him. I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever. Now, my son, the Lord be with you so that you will be able to build a temple to the Lord your God, as he promised you. Well, the Lord grant you wisdom and intelligence, make yourself king of Israel to observe the law of the Lord your God. Of course you will succeed, if you try to practice the statutes and decrees that the Lord has prescribed to Moses for Israel. Be strong, courage; don't be afraid and don't get down.
Lamentations 3,19-39
The memory of my misery and wandering is like absinthe and poison. Ben remembers it and my soul collapses inside me. This I intend to bring to my mind, and for this I want to regain hope. The mercies of the Lord are not finished, his compassion is not exhausted; they are renewed every morning, great is his fidelity. "My part is the Lord - I exclaim - for this I want to hope in him". The Lord is good to those who hope in him, with the soul seeking him. It is good to wait in silence for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for man to carry the yoke from his youth. Let him sit alone and remain silent, for he has imposed it on him; thrust your mouth into the dust, perhaps there is still hope; offer whoever strikes him his cheek, be satisfied with humiliation. Because the Lord never rejects ... But, if he afflicts, he will also have mercy according to his great mercy. For against his desire he humiliates and afflicts the children of man. When they crush all the prisoners of the country under their feet, when they distort the rights of a man in the presence of the Most High, when he wronged another in a cause, perhaps he does not see the Lord all this? Who ever spoke and his word came true, without the Lord having commanded him? Do not misfortunes and good proceed from the mouth of the Most High? Why does a living being, a man, regret the punishments of his sins?
Isaiah 12,1-6
You will say on that day: “Thank you, Lord; you were angry with me, but your anger subsided and you consoled me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, I will never fear, because my strength and my song is the Lord; he was my salvation. You will joyfully draw water from the springs of salvation. " On that day you will say: “Praise the Lord, call on his name; manifest among the peoples its wonders, proclaim that its name is sublime. Sing hymns to the Lord, for he has done great things, this is known throughout the earth. Gleeful and exultant shouts, inhabitants of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel is great among you ”.
