Wednesday dedicated to San Giuseppe. Prayer to the Saint for today

Glorious Father San Giuseppe, you are elected among all the saints;

blessed among all the righteous in your soul, since she was sanctified and full of grace more than that of all the righteous, to be worthy Spouse of Mary, Mother of God and worthy adoptive father of Jesus.

Blessed be your virginal body, which was the living altar of the Divinity, and where the immaculate Host rested who redeemed humanity.

Blessed are your loving eyes, which saw the Desired of the nations.

Blessed are your pure lips, who kissed the face of the Child God with tender affection, before which the heavens tremble and the Seraphim cover their face.

Blessed are your ears, which heard the sweet name of father from the mouth of Jesus.

Blessed be your language, which many times conversed familiarly with eternal Wisdom.

Blessed are your hands, which worked so hard to sustain the Creator of heaven and earth.

Blessed be your face, which often covered itself with sweat to feed those who feed the birds of the sky.

Blessed be your neck, to which many times he clung with his little hands and the Child Jesus squeezed.

Blessed be your breast, on which so many times the head reclined and the Fortress itself rested.

Glorious St. Joseph, how much I rejoice in these your excellences and blessings! But remember, my Holy One, that these graces and blessings, you owe them largely to the poor sinners, since, if we had not sinned, God would not have become a Child and would not have suffered for our love, and for the same reason he would not you would have fed and preserved it with so much effort and sweat. Let it not be said of You, O exalted Patriarch, that in exaltation you forget your brothers and sisters of misfortune.

Give us therefore, from your lofty throne of glory, a com-passionate gaze.

Always look at us with loving pity.

Contemplate our souls surrounded by enemies and so eager for You and your Son Jesus, who died on a cross to save them: perfectional, protect them, bless them, so that we your devotees live in holiness and justice, die in grace and enjoy the eternal glory in your company. Amen.
