Collection
Almighty and eternal God,
your Son wanted to entrust to Mary Magdalene
the first announcement of Easter joy;
do that for his example and his intercession
let us proclaim the risen Lord to the world to contemplate him
next to you in glory.
He is God, and lives and reigns with you.

First Reading
I found the love of my soul.
From the Canticle of Canticles
Cant 3,1: 4-XNUMX

Thus says the bride: «On my bed, during the night, I sought the love of my soul; I searched for it, but I didn't find it. I will get up and go around the city through the streets and squares; I want to seek the love of my soul. I searched for it, but I didn't find it. The guards patrolling the city met me: Have you seen the love of my soul? I had just passed them when I found the love of my soul ». Word of God. Or (2Cor 5, 14-17: Now we no longer know Christ in the human way): From the second letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Corinthian Brothers, the love of Christ possesses us; and we know well that one died for all, therefore all died. And he died for all, so that those who live no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died and rose for them. So that we no longer look at anyone in the human way; if we have also known Christ in the human way, now we no longer know him this way. So much so that if one is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are gone; here, new ones were born.

God's word

Responsorial Psalm
Ps 62 (63)
R. Lord, my soul is thirsty for you.
O God, you are my God,
from dawn I seek you,
my soul is thirsty for you,
my flesh wants you
in arid, thirsty land, without water. R.

So in the sanctuary I contemplated you,
looking at your power and your glory.
Since your love is worth more than life,
my lips will sing your praise. R.

So I will bless you all my life:
in your name I will raise my hands.
As satiated by the best foods,
with joyful lips my mouth will praise you. R.

When I think of you who have been my help,
I exult with joy in the shadow of your wings.
My soul clings to you:
your right hand supports me. R.

Gospel acclamation
Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Tell us, Maria: what did you see on the way?
The tomb of the living Christ, the glory of the risen Christ.

Hallelujah.

Gospel
I have seen the Lord and told me these things.
From the Gospel according to John
Jn 20,1-2.11-18

On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala went to the sepulcher in the morning, when it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been removed from the sepulcher. Then he ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them: "They took the Lord away from the tomb and we do not know where they placed him!". Maria stood outside, near the tomb, and wept. As she wept, she leaned towards the sepulcher and saw two angels in white robes, seated one on the side of the head and the other of the feet, where the body of Jesus had been placed. And they said to her: «Woman, why are you crying ?. " He answered them, "They took my Lord away and I don't know where they placed him." Having said this, he turned back and saw Jesus standing; but she didn't know it was Jesus. Jesus said to her: «Woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?". She, thinking that he was the keeper of the garden, said to him: "Lord, if you took it away, tell me where you placed it and I will go and get it." Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to him in Hebrew: "Rabbi!" - which means: «Master!». Jesus said to her: «Do not hold me back, because I have not yet gone up to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them: I go up to my Father and your Father, my God and your God ». Mary of Magdala went to announce to the disciples: "I have seen the Lord!" and what he had told her.
