TUESDAY 04 JUNE 2019
Mass of the Day
TUESDAY OF THE XNUMXTH EASTER WEEK

Liturgical Color White
Antiphon
«I am the first and the last, the living;
I was dead, but now I'm alive
for all centuries. " Alleluia. (Ap 1,17-18)

Collection
Almighty and merciful father,
let the Holy Spirit come to dwell in us
and transform us into a temple of his glory.
For our Lord Jesus Christ ...

First Reading
I complete my race and the service that was entrusted to me by the Lord Jesus.
From the Acts of the Apostles
Acts 20,17: 27-XNUMX

In those days, Paul sent Miletus to call the elders of the Church to Ephesus.
When they came to him, he said to them: "You know how I have behaved with you all this time, since the first day I arrived in Asia: I have served the Lord with all humility, amid the tears and trials that they brought the snares of the Jews; I have never backed away from what could be useful, in order to preach to you and to instruct you, in public and in homes, testifying to Jews and Greeks the conversion to God and faith in our Lord Jesus.
And here, therefore, forced by the Spirit, I go to Jerusalem, without knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that the Holy Spirit, from city to city, attests to me that chains and tribulations await me. I do not consider my life in any way precious, as long as I complete my race and the service that was entrusted to me by the Lord Jesus, to bear witness to the gospel of the grace of God.
And now, behold, I know that you will no longer see my face, all of you among whom I have passed by announcing the Kingdom. For this reason I solemnly attest today, before you, that I am innocent of everyone's blood, because I have not escaped the duty to announce all the will of God to you ».

God's word

Responsorial Psalm
From Ps 67 (68)
R. Kingdoms of the earth, sing to God.
?Or:
Blessed be the Lord, God of salvation.
?Or:
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Heavy rain you poured, O God,
your exhausted legacy you have consolidated
and your people lived in it,
in what, in your goodness,
you have made sure for the poor, O God. R.

From day to day blessed the Lord:
God brings salvation to us.
Our God is a God who saves;
the gates of death belong to the Lord God. R.

Gospel acclamation
Hallelujah, hallelujah.

I will pray to the Father and he will give you another Paraclete
to stay with you forever. (Jn 14,16:XNUMX)

Hallelujah.

Gospel
Father, glorify your Son.
From the Gospel according to John
Jn 17,1-11a

At that time, Jesus, looking up to heaven, said:

«Father, the hour has come: glorify your Son so that the Son glorify you. You have given him power over every human being, so that he may give eternal life to all who you have given him.
This is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and the one you sent, Jesus Christ. I glorified you on earth, doing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me before you with that glory that I had with you before the world was.
I manifested your name to the men you gave me from the world. They were yours and you gave them to me, and they kept your word. Now they know that all the things you gave me come from you, because the words you gave me I gave them to them. They welcomed them and really know that I came out of you and believed that you sent me.
I pray for them; I do not pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, because they are yours. All my things are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. I am no longer in the world; instead they are in the world, and I come to you. "

Word of the Lord

On offers
Welcome, Lord, our offerings and prayers,
and make this holy sacrifice,
perfect expression of our faith,
let us open the passage to the glory of heaven.
For Christ our Lord.

?Or:

Look, Father, the face of Christ your Son,
who gave himself to save humanity,
and do that from East to West
the only perfect sacrifice is offered to you.
For Christ our Lord.

Communion antiphon
"The Holy Spirit,
that the Father will send in my name,
everything will teach you
and it will remind you of everything I have told you. " Alleluia. (Jn 14:26)

?Or:

"This is eternal life:
know you, only true God,
and he who sent Jesus Christ. » Alleluia. (Jn 17,3)

After communion
O God, who nourished us with this sacrament,
listen to our humble prayer:
the memorial of Easter, which Christ your Son
commanded us to celebrate,
always build us in the bond of your charity.
For Christ our Lord.

?Or:

Holy Father, who fed us Christ the living bread,
cause your Spirit, operating in these paschal mysteries,
guide us to the whole truth, because with the word
and the works we build your Church.
For Christ our Lord.
