WEDNESDAY 03 JULY 2019
Mass of the Day
SAN TOMMASO, APOSTLE - FEAST

Liturgical Color Red
Antiphon
You are my God, I praise you;
you are my God, I raised hymns to your name;
I give glory to you who saved me. (Ps 117,28)

Collection
Rejoice your Church, O God, our Father,
on the feast of the apostle Thomas;
through his intercession our faith grows,
because by believing we have life in the name of Christ,
who was recognized by him as his Lord and his God.
He lives and reigns with you ...

First Reading
Built upon the foundation of the apostles.
From the letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Ephesians
Eph 2,19: 22-XNUMX

Brothers, you are no longer foreigners or guests, but you are fellow citizens of the saints and relatives of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, having Christ Jesus himself as the corner stone.
In him the whole building grows well ordered to be a holy temple in the Lord; in him you too are built together to become God's dwelling through the Spirit.

God's word

Hallelujah.

Gospel
My Lord and my God!
From the Gospel according to John
Jn 20,24-29

Thomas, one of the Twelve, called God, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples said to him: «We have seen the Lord!». But he said to them, "If I do not see the sign of the nails in his hands and do not put my finger in the sign of the nails and do not put my hand in his side, I do not believe."

Eight days later the disciples were at home again and Thomas was with them. Jesus came behind closed doors, stood in the middle and said: «Peace be with you!». Then he said to Thomas: «Put your finger here and look at my hands; hold out your hand and put it in my side; and do not be incredulous, but a believer! ». Thomas replied, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Because you saw me, you believed; blessed are those who have not seen and believed! ».
