O God, show the light of your truth to wanderers.
so that they can return to the right path,

First Reading
This was the waking night for the Lord to bring them out of the land of Egypt.
From the book of Exodus
Ex 12,37-42

In those days, the Israelites left Ramses for Succot, six hundred thousand adult men, not counting the children. In addition, a large mass of promiscuous people left with them and flocks and herds in very large herds.

They cooked the pasta they had brought from Egypt in the form of unleavened buns, because it had not risen: in fact they had been driven out of Egypt and had not been able to linger; they didn't even get supplies for the trip.

The Israelites' stay in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years. At the end of the four hundred and thirty years, on that very day, all the hosts of the Lord left the land of Egypt.

This was the waking night for the Lord to bring them out of the land of Egypt. This will be a vigil night in honor of the Lord for all Israelites from generation to generation.

Responsorial Psalm
From Psalm 135 (136)
R. His love is forever.
Give thanks to the Lord because he is good,
in our humiliation he remembered us,
it freed us from our opponents. R.

It struck Egypt in its firstborn,
from that land brought Israel out,
with powerful hand and outstretched arm. R.

Divided the Red Sea into two parts,
in the middle he made Israel pass
Pharaoh and his army swept away. R.

Gospel acclamation
Hallelujah, hallelujah.

God has reconciled the world to himself in Christ,
entrusting the word of reconciliation to us. (See 2 Cor 5,19:XNUMX)

Hallelujah.

Gospel
He forced them not to divulge it, so that what had been said would be accomplished.
From the Gospel according to Matthew
Mt 12,14-21

At that time, the Pharisees went out and took counsel against Jesus to make him die. But Jesus, having learned of it, went away from there. Many followed him and he healed them all and ordered them not to divulge it, so that what had been said through the prophet Isaiah would be accomplished:
«Here is my servant, whom I have chosen;
my beloved, in whom I placed my complacency.
I will place my spirit on top of him
and will announce justice to the nations.
He will not contest or shout
nor will his voice be heard in the squares.
It won't break a cracked rod,
will not put out a dull flame,
until justice has triumphed;
in his name the nations will hope. "
