First Reading
It was about a certain Jesus, dead, whom Paul claimed to be alive.
From the Acts of the Apostles
Acts 25,13: 21-XNUMX

In those days, king Agrippa and Berenìce arrived in Cesarèa and came to greet Festus. And as they stayed several days, Festus brought charges against Paul to the king, saying:
«There is a man, left here prisoner by Felix, against whom, during my visit to Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews presented themselves to ask for his sentence. I replied that the Romans do not use to hand over a person before the accused is confronted with his accusers and can have a way to defend himself against the accusation.
Then they came here and I, without delay, the next day sat in court and ordered that man be brought there. Those who blamed him came around him, but made no charge of those crimes that I imagined; they had with him some questions relating to their religion and to a certain Jesus, dead, whom Paul claimed to be alive.
Puzzled by such controversies, I asked if he wanted to go to Jerusalem and be judged on these things. But Paul appealed for his case to be reserved for the judgment of Augustus, and so I ordered that he be kept in custody until I can send him to Caesar ».

God's word

Responsorial Psalm
From Ps102 (103)
R. The Lord has placed his throne in heaven.
?Or:
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Bless the Lord, my soul,
how blessed is his holy name in me.
Bless the Lord, my soul,
do not forget many of its benefits. R.

Because how high the sky is on the earth,
so his mercy is powerful on those who fear him;
how far east is from the west,
so he takes away our sins from us. R.

The Lord has placed his throne in heaven
and his kingdom rules the universe.
Bless the Lord, his angels,
powerful executors of his commands. R.

Gospel
Feed my lambs, feed my sheep.
From the Gospel according to John
Jn 21, 15-19

At that time, [when it was revealed to the disciples and] they had eaten, Jesus said to Simon Peter: "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?". He replied: "Of course, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
For the second time she said to him again, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He replied, "Of course, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my sheep."
For the third time he said to him, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved that for the third time he asked him "Do you love me?", And said to him: "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you ». Jesus answered him, "Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you: when you were younger you dressed alone and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and take you where you don't want ».
This he said to indicate with what death he would glorify God. And having said that, he added: "Follow me."
