Miracle of Padre Pio: "in the operating room I saw a nearby monk"

Miracle of Padre Pio: this story of a 33-year-old young man named Ciro resident and Native of Naples describes how Padre Pio helped him when the young man was taken to hospital after feeling ill. From there, where having made all the necessary investigations, he was operated on urgently for a brain tumor.

Well, despite being under anesthesia, Cyrus testified that a monk kept him company all the time. Ciro states that that monk was Padre Pio who had invoked and prayed before entering the operating room. We thank Ciro for this beautiful testimony.

Prayer for his intercession: O Jesus, full of grace and charity and victim for sins, who, driven by love for our souls, wished to die on the cross, I humbly beg you to glorify, even on this earth, the servant of God, Saint Pio from Pietralcina who, in generous participation in your sufferings, loved you so much and did so much for the glory of your Father and for the good of souls. I therefore beg you to grant me, through your intercession, the grace (expose) that I ardently desire. 3 Glory to the Father.

Miracle of Padre Pio: popular veneration

Padre Pio of Pietrelcina he was a Capuchin friar and Italian mystic. He died in 1968 at the age of 81. Saint Pius was credited with thousands of miraculous healings during his lifetime, and is still revered as a thaumaturge. For years the Vatican has opposed the cult that grew up around Padre Pio, but then changed his attitude, granting him the highest possible honor after his death: full holiness.

He was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2002 and his feast falls on September 23rd. Pius is revered for bearing the stigmata: permanent wounds to his hands and feet like those Christ suffered at the crucifixion. He lived with these bleeding wounds for decades.

Doctors have not never found a medical explanation for the wounds, which never healed but were never infected. Pius's followers said he bore the wounds of the crucified Christ.
