"Miracle" through the intercession of Our Lady of Santa Libera

Last Sunday Don Giuseppe Tassoni, parish priest of Malo (Vicenza), decided to reveal a miracle of the Madonna di Santa Libera that occurred 5 years ago, from which the little Giulia Giorgiutti benefited. When she was still a fetus, Giulia was diagnosed with problems that made doctors sure she would be born with severe malformations. Parish priest and Giulia's parents are sure that this danger has been averted thanks to the intermediation of the Madonna di Santa Libera.

Sandro Giorgiutti and his wife Federica had already tried to have a baby, but the first pregnancy ended in tragedy: the baby hadn't made it. Shortly thereafter Federica becomes pregnant again with Giulia. But already at the first ultrasound, doctors reveal to parents that the girl had large tumor cysts scattered throughout the body, which also put her survival at serious risk.

In the best case Giulia would have been born seriously malformed. Sandro's mother, catechist, advises the young couple to go on pilgrimage to the Madonna di Santa Libera, in Malo, because she is considered the patroness of women in labor. The ultrasound after their small pilgrimage returns an absolutely miraculous result: the cysts began to regress spontaneously, without having received medical treatment. It is a real miracle of the Madonna di Santa Libera.

Encouraged by this news, and confirmed in their faith, Sandro and Federica continue to pray to the Madonna of Santa Libera incessantly, and Giulia's progressive healing comes to an end shortly before birth. In fact, near the birth, Giulia did not already have any trace of those big cysts, and her health was perfect as if nothing had ever been diagnosed.

Giulia was born in 2010, healthy. After thanking the Madonna, the parents and the little girl went to Malo for the Baptism, which celebrated Don Giuseppe Tassoni. It could not have been otherwise, not only for a matter of gratitude to the Madonna who saved their baby's life, but also because Don Giuseppe was very close to them, during the terrible weeks that separated the prayer from the results of the ultrasounds.

So far this story has not been talked about by the explicit will of Giulia's parents, who wanted to keep the event confidential, for a matter of respect, in order not to show the fortune of the gift received to the four winds. Today they talk about it willingly, driven by a gratitude towards God and the Madonna of Santa Libera, who evidently can no longer hold back.
