Meghan was diagnosed with semilobar holoprosencephaly, a fetal malformation in an area of ​​the brain that controls thinking, emotions and fine motor skills. According to the parents, the life of the unborn child should not depend on an objective choice but on God's will.

“I am not the owner of my daughter's life or her death. We quickly decided that abortion was not an option. It's a miracle, ”Gray told a The Sun. "I really wanted a baby and I decided to leave her in God's hands. I am very grateful for that," she told the Daily Record.

Gray revealed that he was afraid of what his daughter would be like after birth. “When she was born, I was afraid to look at her because of the picture they painted. I knew I would love her, but I didn't know if I would like how she looked like her.
