A young man from Viterbo who called himself a "servant of God" died at the age of 26. His faith amazed everyone

This is the story of a young man from Viterbo whose faith he amazed and continues to amaze even after his death at the age of 26.

Luigi Brutti he was a young man from Viterbo, who immediately became known for his outstanding Christian virtues. His friends called him "Gigio" a charming and nice term to describe this joyful, vital and always smiling boy.

Luigi in his short life has always dedicated himself to voluntarywhile pursuing her dream of becoming a special education teacher. She with a lot of good will she made it when she was only 23 years old.

A short time later the boy met his soul mate and decided to get married, but fate had something else in store for him. When everything was ready, the invitations, the date, the party, Luigi felt bad and remained in that state of suffering for about 2 months. He died on the evening of August 19, 2011, at just 26 years old.

Luigi grew up in a Christian family, but his relationship with God and his vision changed around the 17 years, when she began to see him as a friend rather than a judgmental figure.

The holiness that comes from small daily gestures

In his diario she expressed love for God and the desire to make her life full of love, joy and smiles. She wanted to help those less fortunate, give comfort to those who were sick and help those who were desperate. Luigi was convinced that his happy life with him was due only to the fact that he had sought God and had trusted him.

A book entitled "I need light“. The text collects his thoughts and reflections of him, but above all outlines a holiness which does not derive from heroic or striking deeds but in simple everyday actions and choices.

The diocesan phase of the beatification process he canonization of Luigi Brutti began on 29 July at the Palazzo dei Papi in Viterbo. The postulator of the cause is Nicola Gori, former postulator of Blessed Carlo Acutis.
