“Today I heard the voice of Satan”, the experience of an exorcist

We report the article published on https://www.catholicexorcism.org/ from the 'Diary of the Exorcist'. To speak is an exorcist, to him the voice of his experience with the devil.

Diary of the exorcist, face to face with the devil

Today I was in the presence of an angry man who believed he was being mistreated. I was stunned by the anger and violence in her voice. He distorted the words and actions of those around him and responded with arrogance and contempt. Just hearing it, I felt hurt.

I recognized the voice. When demons manifest in the midst of an exorcism, their presence is unmistakable. The look in their eyes is murderous. The hatred and arrogance and their voice is palpable. Their hearts are blacker than any darkness we know of. The real ugliness caused by sin, demonic or human, is beyond words.

In this life, based on our choices, we already begin to manifest heaven or hell. Saint Catherine of Siena in her dialogue reported that God told her that souls receive the "gain" of the next life while they are still on this earth. Those who do evil already experience "hell", while the servants of the Lord "taste the deposit of eternal life".

Already in this life, we begin to sing the song of the angels, or we begin to get mad at the demons. In the rite of exorcism there is the Trisagion: "Holy, Holy, Holy". It is the song of the angels praising God that the demons refused to sing (Rev 4,8). Exorcists have found this a powerful moment in an exorcism and often repeat these words many times. Just hearing the words is a great torment for the demons.

The more time I spend in this ministry of deliverance, the more sensitive I am to the presence of the angelic and the demonic. I am temporarily hurt by dark encounters with the demonic. I am supported on a daily basis by many more people who reach me with a kind gesture and thoughtful words.
