The miracle we are going to tell you about happened in 1947, when a mother named Consiglia de Martino turned to Padre Pio to ask him for help for her son Antonio, who had been killed in a car accident. Her mother was desperate and she asked the friar to let her know if her son was in Heaven.

Padre Pio replied to the woman telling her that he would pray for her soul and that her son was in Heaven. However, the mother did not feel completely satisfied with her answer and asked the friar if she could have a more tangible confirmation.

Son's answer

The friar told her to pray and have faith, but the woman kept asking for confirmation. Then, Padre Pio, with great humility, asked a God a sign that could give the mother the confirmation she was looking for.

The next day, the mother received one letter from the priest who had assisted her son in the last moments of his life. In the letter, the priest recounted having asked the young Antonio to send a signal from eternal life if he had arrived in Heaven. The priest then recounted having had a dream in which Antonino appeared to him and told him that he was in Heaven and that he would return home to greet his mother.

Antonino's mother was greatly relieved by the confirmation she had received and recognized the miracle that Padre Pio had performed. This miracle it has become very well known and has inspired many people to pray to Padre Pio for comfort and consolation in times of trouble.

This episode is an example of the power of prayer and faith in the lives of believers, who can find comfort and consolation in prayer and in seeking signs of God's presence in their lives.
