Why are you discouraged? Our Lady of Medjugorje tells you how to react

Message dated July 7, 1985
You make mistakes, not because you don't make big works, but because you forget the little ones. And this happens because in the morning you do not pray enough to live the new day according to the will of God. Even in the evening you do not pray enough. In this way you do not enter into prayer. So do not do what you propose and thus feel discouraged.
Some passages from the Bible that can help us understand this message.
Tobias 12,8-12
Good thing is prayer with fasting and almsgiving with justice. Better the little with justice than wealth with injustice. It is better to give alms than to put aside gold. Begging saves from death and purifies from all sin. Those who give alms will enjoy long life. Those who commit sin and injustice are enemies of their lives. I want to show you the whole truth, without hiding anything: I have already taught you that it is good to hide the king's secret, while it is glorious to reveal the works of God. Know therefore that, when you and Sara were in prayer, I would present the witness of your prayer before the glory of the Lord. So even when you buried the dead.
Deuteronomy 1,6-22
“The Lord our God spoke to us on Horeb and said to us: You have lived long enough on this mountain; turn around, lift the camp and go to the Amorite mountains and to all the neighboring regions: the Araba valley, the mountains, the Sefela, the Negheb, the sea coast, in the country of the Canaanites and in Lebanon, until great river, the Euphrates River. Behold, I have set the country before you; come in, take possession of the land that the Lord has sworn to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and to their descendants after them. At that time I spoke to you and said to you: I cannot bear the weight of this people alone. The Lord your God has multiplied you and today you are as numerous as the stars of heaven. The Lord, God of your fathers, increase you a thousand times more and bless you as he has promised you to do. But how can I alone carry your weight, your load and your quarrels? Choose wise, intelligent and esteemed men in your tribes, and I will make them your leaders. You replied: Okay what you propose to do. Then I took the heads of your tribes, wise and esteemed men, and established them above you as heads of thousands, heads of hundreds, heads of fifties, heads of tens, and as scribes in your tribes. At that time I gave this order to your judges: Listen to the causes of your brothers and judge with justice the questions that one may have with his brother or with the stranger who is with him. In your judgments you will have no personal regard, you will listen to the small and the large; you will not fear any man, since judgment belongs to God; the causes too difficult for you will present them to me and I will listen to them. At that time I ordered you all the things you had to do. We departed from the Horeb and crossed all that great and frightening desert that you saw, heading towards the mountains of the Amorites, as the Lord our God had ordered us to do, and we reached Kades-Barnea. Then I said to you: You have arrived at the mountain of the Amorites, which the Lord our God is about to give us. Behold the Lord your God has set the land before you; enter, take possession of it, as the Lord God of your fathers told you; do not be afraid and do not be discouraged! You all came up to me and said: We send men before us, who will explore the country and report us on the path by which we will have to go up and on the cities in which we must enter.
Job 22,21-30
Come on, reconcile with him and you will be happy again, you will receive a great advantage. Receive the law from his mouth and place his words in your heart. If you turn to the Almighty with humility, if you drive away the iniquity from your tent, if you value the gold of Ophir as dust and river pebbles, then the Almighty will be your gold and will be silver to you. piles. Then yes, in the Almighty you will delight and raise your face to God. You will beg him and he will hear you and you will dissolve your vows. You will decide one thing and it will succeed and the light will shine on your path. He humiliates the haughtiness of the proud, but helps those with downcast eyes. He frees the innocent; you will be released for the purity of your hands.
Proverbs 15,25-33
The Lord tears down the house of the proud and makes the widow's boundaries firm. Evil thoughts are abominable to the Lord, but benevolent words are appreciated. Whoever is greedy for dishonest earnings upsets his home; but whoever detests gifts will live. The mind of the righteous meditates before answering, the mouth of the wicked expresses wickedness. The Lord is far from the wicked, but he listens to the prayers of the righteous. A luminous look gladdens the heart; happy news revives the bones. The ear that listens to a salutary rebuke will have its home in the midst of the wise. Whoever refuses the correction despises himself, who listens to the rebuke acquires sense. Fear of God is a school of wisdom, before glory there is humility.
