For 6 years now, young Pietro has been bedridden by his illness. He suffers a lot, the pains are excruciating. During one night, while the boy was writhing in pain, he sees his room light up with an extraordinary light. In the center of this light appears the Madonna. This repeats him 3 times higher the same sentence. If she wanted to get well, he had to go to the Varesina street chapel and erect a temple, where the simulacrum of the Madonna stands. The necessary materials would not be lacking.

Pietro takes action immediately and begins to warn all the people around of his intention to go to that place. As he makes this gesture, he feels pervaded by a strange force.

When Peter arrives at the place indicated to him by the Madonna, he begins to to pray until his strength leaves him. At that moment he falls asleep. He wakes up at dawn and realizes he is fully healed. Incredulous, he begins to work hard to build the shrine dedicated to her and keep his promise. The sanctuary is completed in 1511 and since then there has been a series of inexplicable cures.
