Pills of Faith January 13 "From the baptism of the Lord to our baptism"

What a great mystery in the baptism of our Lord and Savior! The Father makes himself felt from above, the Son makes himself seen on earth, the Spirit shows himself in the form of a dove. In fact, there is no true baptism or true remission of sins, where there is no truth of the Trinity ... The baptism given by the Church is unique and true, it is given only once and, in being immersed in it once, we are purified and renewed. Purify yourself, for deposing the filth of sins; renewed because we rise for a new life, after stripping ourselves of the old age of sin.

So at the baptism of the Lord the heavens opened so that, for the washing of the new birth, we would discover that the kingdoms of heaven are open to believers, according to this word of the Lord: "If one is not born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter in the kingdom of God "(Jn 3,5). So the one who is reborn and has not neglected to preserve his baptism has entered ...

Since our Lord came to give new baptism for the salvation of mankind and the remission of all sins, he wanted to be baptized first, but not to strip himself of sin, since he had not committed sin, but to sanctify the waters of baptism to destroy the sins of all believers who would be born again through baptism.
