Pills of Faith January 5 "You will see the open sky"

Jacob, the younger son of Isaac and Rebekah, you called him beloved, Lord; you changed his name to that of Israel (Gen 32,29). You revealed the future to him, showing him the ladder that went from heaven to earth: at the top there was God, with eyes on the world, and angels went up and down ... It was the symbol of the great mystery, as those who said the Spirit had illuminated ...

As for the good, I too am the youngest son. As for evil, I am certainly a mature man, like the firstborn Esau ...: I sold my treasure to satisfy my greed (Gen 25,33) and I canceled my name from the book of Life where the first gods are written in the skies the righteous (Ps 69,29).

I beg you, Light in the highest heaven, Prince of the choirs of fire. The gates of heaven are also open to me, as they once were for Israel. Gracefully, make my lost soul climb the ladder of light, a mysterious sign given to men on their return from earth to heaven. Because of the cunning of the evil one, I have lost the perfumed anointing of your Spirit; deign again to anoint my head with your right that protects. I cannot fight with you, O mighty, hand to hand like Jacob (Gen 32,25), since I am only weakness.

GIACULATORIA OF THE DAY
My Father, good Father, I offer myself to You, I give myself to You.
