Pippo Baudo recounts the episode in which Padre Pio drove him away

Pippo Baudo is an Italian television host, actor and singer. He was born on 7 June 1936 in Militello in Val di Catania, Italy. Baudo began his career as a singer in the 50s and later became a popular television presenter, hosting many variety shows, game shows and music festivals.

Baudo has been a fixture on Italian television for over 50 years and is known for his charismatic and engaging style. It has hosted many popular shows, including “Fantastico”, “Domenica In” and “Sanremo Music Festival”. He has won several awards for his work in television, including the Telegatto Award for Best TV Presenter and the Telegatto Award for Lifetime Achievement.

With his family, they left for Militello, to witness the miracle. Beyond this episode, Baudo recounts the day he met him Padre Pio. That day he headed to San Giovanni Rotondo to get to know him. When the friar saw him, he asked him if you were there out of faith or out of curiosity. Baudo replied in all sincerity that he had gone to see him out of pure curiosity. Padre Pio at that answer sent him away.
