Prayer to Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus, how to ask her for a grace

Friday 1 October is celebrated Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus. Therefore, today is the day to begin to pray to her, asking the Saint to intercede for a Grace that is particularly close to our heart. This prayer is to be said every day until Friday.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

“Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I thank you for all the favors, all the graces with which you have enriched the soul of your servant Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus during the 24 years she spent on Earth.

For the merits of such a beloved Saint, grant me the grace that I ardently ask of you: (make the request), if it conforms to your Most Holy Will and for the salvation of my soul.

Help my faith and my hope, O Saint Teresa, fulfilling, once again, your promise that no one will invoke you in vain, making me receive a rose, a sign that I will obtain the requested grace ”.

It recites 24 times: Glory to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, now and forever, forever and ever, Amen.

Who is Sister Teresa of the Child Jesus

Sister Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face, known as of Lisieux, in the century Marie-Françoise Thérèse Martin, was a French Carmelite. Beatified on April 29, 1923 by pope Pio XI, was proclaimed a saint by the pope himself on May 17, 1925.

She has been patroness of missionaries since 1927 together with St. Francis Xavier and, since 1944, together with Saint Anne, mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Joan of Arc, patroness of France. Its liturgical feast occurs on 1 October or 3 October (a date originally established and still respected by those who follow the Tridentine Mass of the Roman Rite). On October 19, 1997, on the centenary of her death, she was proclaimed Doctor of the Church, the third woman on that date to receive that title after Catherine of Siena and Teresa of Avila.

The impact of his posthumous publications, including a Story of a Soul published shortly after his death, was immense. The novelty of his spirituality, also called the theology of the "small way", or of "spiritual childhood", has inspired multitudes of believers and deeply affected many non-believers as well.
