We pray to the Madonna del Carmine for our deceased

Most pitiful Virgin of Carmel, you are the joy of the Angels and Saints, our help here on earth and the comfort of those who suffer in purgatory in expiation for their sins, waiting for their release. Stretch out your merciful hand towards those souls who are purified and to see their sufferings shortened they can only count on the prayers that the Church addresses to her Lord, so that the merits of the Mystical Body may be applied to them: you are the Mother of the Church, the treasurer of divine mercies. We therefore recommend to you the souls of our loved ones, especially those for whom we have a duty to pray; and we trust in particular, to your maternal concern, those souls who piously brought your scapular to life; they considered it as an incentive to distinguish themselves in devotion and love for you, and they also considered it as a sign of sure hope for themselves, as a pledge of benevolence towards your de-vows. Show to these souls, and to all the others for which we intend to pray to you, your maternal concern, so that as soon as possible they will be freed and welcomed in heaven to praise with you forever the mercy of the Lord, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
