O Mediatrix of all graces, the glorious contemplation of divine beauty certainly does not divert your gaze from the sufferings of the miserable children of Eve wandering in this valley of tears. If medicine is now able to soothe some diseases, there are others which are still ineffective. You mitigate, O Mother, with your help the pains of so many sick and comfort them with the thought that their sufferings are a participation in the redemptive ones of the Savior. There are still many evils in the world: hatreds, misunderstandings, mistrust, unjust discrimination, wars, murders, injustices.
