PRAYER TO THE SS. TRINITY to beg thanks

Adorable trinity, God only in three persons, we prostrate ourselves before you!
The angels radiating from your light cannot sustain its brilliance;
they veil their faces and humble themselves in the presence of your infinite Majesty.
Allow the miserable inhabitants of the earth to unite their worship
to those of celestial spirits.
Father, Creator of the world, be blessed by the work of your hands!
Incarnate Word, Redeemer of the world, receive the praise of those for whom
you have shed your most precious Blood!
Holy Spirit, source of grace and principle of love, be glorified
in the souls that are your temple!
But alas! Lord, I hear the blasphemies of the unbelievers who don't want you
know, of the wicked who insult you, of the sinners who despise
your law, your love, your gifts.
O most powerful Father, we detest such boldness and we offer you,
with our weak prayers, the perfect adoration of your Christ!
O Jesus, tell the Heavenly Father again to forgive them,
because they don't know what they are doing!
Holy Spirit, change their hearts and inflame ours
of an ardent zeal for the honor of God.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit finally reign with love
both on earth and in heaven.
May hymns of blessing rise up to you everywhere,
incense of prayers, treats of fidelity.
May the Holy Trinity always be praised, served and honored
from all creatures in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
