Prayer to the Guardian Angel: ask for support to reach eternal life

Most affectionate my only Companion, true friend, holy Angel my Guardian, who in all places and at all times honor me for your adorable presence, I greet you and thank you, together with all the choir of the Archangels chosen by God to announce great things and mysterious, and instantly I beg you to illuminate my mind with the knowledge of the divine will, and to move my heart to its always exact execution, so that, always operating in accordance with the faith that I profess, it will assure me in the other life the promised prize to true believers.

Angel of God, who you are my custodian, illuminate, guard, rule and govern me, who was entrusted to you by heavenly piety.
