Prayer of May 22 "Devotion to Saint Rita for an impossible case"

For centuries, Saint Rita has been one of the most popular saints in the Catholic Church. This is due to his difficult life and his help which he has given to those who have gone through difficult times. For this reason she is known as the "Saint of the impossible".

Although Santa Rita wanted to become a nun as a child, her parents would have left her. She married a very cruel husband who caused her great pain. But through his love and prayers, he was converted before he was killed.

The two sons of Saint Rita wanted to avenge their father's blood. She implored God to take his own life before they could take the murderer's life. Both died in a state of grace before being able to carry out their plans.

Alone, Saint Rita tried to enter religious life. She has been refused. Praying for his special patron saints; San Giovanni Battista, Sant'Agostino and San Nicola da Tolentino, after great difficulties, was allowed to enter the Convent of the Augustinians in 1411.

As a religious she practiced great mortifications and lived a life of charity for others. His prayers have produced miracles of healing, deliverance from the devil and other favors from God.

As seen in his images, Jesus allowed her to suffer her pain by having a thorn wound on her forehead. It caused great pain and smelled bad. The wound lasted her whole life and she prayed; 'O loving Jesus, increase my patience according to which my suffering increases.'

When he died at the age of 76, countless miracles began to occur. For this reason devotion to her began to spread rapidly. For several centuries his body was uncorrupted and gave off a sweet fragrance.

HERE IS A GREAT MIRACLE TO GIVE US MORE FAITH; At the time of the beatification ceremony, his body rose and opened his eyes

PRAYER TO SANTA RITA

O Patron Saint of the needy, Saint Rita, whose entreaties before your Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for your generosity in granting favors has been called the Lawyer of the WITHOUT KITCHEN and also of the IMPOSSIBLE; Saint Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and with so much compassionate love for the crucified Jesus that you could obtain from him anything you ask, for which all resort to you confidently, expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing your power with God in favor of those who plead; be generous with us, as you have been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the diffusion of your devotion and for the consolation of those who trust in you. We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify you by making your favor known, to bless and sing your praises forever. Therefore entrusting yourselves to your merits and your power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, please grant yourself (here mention your request).

From the singular merits of your childhood,

With your perfect union with the Divine Will,

From your heroic sufferings during your married life,

With consolation you lived the conversion of your husband,

With the sacrifice of your children rather than seeing them seriously offend God,

With daily penances and raids,

From the suffering caused by the wound you received from the spine of your Crucified Savior,

With the divine love that consumed your heart,

With that extraordinary devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, on which alone you are present for four years,

From the happiness with which you separated from the trials to join your Divine Bride,

With the perfect example you have given to people from every state of life,

Pray for us, O Saint Rita, that we can be made worthy of Christ's promises.

LET'S PRAY

Or God, that in Your infinite tenderness you have granted to consider the prayer of Your servant, the Blessed Rita, and grant to her supplication what is impossible to the foresight, to the ability and to the human efforts, in reward of his compassionate love and of firm trust in your promises, have mercy on our adversities and help us in our calamities, so that the unbeliever can know that you are the reward of the humble, the defense of the defenseless and the strength of those who trust in you, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
