Prayer today March 15, 2021

Lord's Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Come your kingdom; Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread and forgive our trespasses, as we forgive those who transgress against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for the armor of light
The night is far away, the day is near. So let me throw away the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Most merciful Father, I beseech you, for the sake of your mercy, continue your grace and favor towards me today; let the sun of your gospel never come down from my heart; let your truth remain and be established with me and among all of us, forever. Help my unbelief, increase my faith, give me a heart to consider the time of my visit. In faith clothe me with Christ, so that he may live in me and your name may be glorified in me, in the eyes of the whole world. Amen.

Prayer of the day: Thank you, Lord

Sometimes I stop and wonder why you are still here; Or what's good about me and why you care too. You are always there with me to help me every day; Although I rarely listen to the words you have to say. The things I always pray for, I know will come true; My joy and my peace that you give me when each day is new. You keep forgiving me for everything I've done; When the nights are full of pain, the day will bring sunshine. In troubled days, and friends won't say hello I know you'll be there with me to get me if I die. Because who am I to deserve the grace you showed me; Thank you Lord for keeping me when life was cold for me.

Blessing: The God of peace, who brought our Lord Jesus Christ, the great Shepherd of the sheep, from the dead, through the blood of the eternal covenant; Make me perfect in every good work to do your will, working in me what is pleasing to your eyes; for Jesus Christ, to whom glory be for ever and ever.
