Today's prayer: Devotion to the seven pains of Mary and the seven graces

The Blessed Virgin Mary grants seven thanks to the souls who honor her daily
saying seven Hail Marys and meditating on his tears and pains (pains).
The devotion was passed down from Santa Brigida.

HERE ARE THE SEVEN THANKS:

I will give peace to their families.
They will be enlightened on the divine mysteries.
I will console them in their pains and accompany them in their work.
I will give them what they ask until it opposes the adorable will of my divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.
I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and protect them in every moment of their life.
I will help them visibly at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother.
I obtained from my divine Son that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and pains will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.

The seven pains of the Blessed Virgin Mary - HISTORY -
In 1668 a second separate party was granted to the Servites, for the third Sunday of September. Its object of Mary's seven pains. By inserting the feast in the general Roman calendar in 1814, Pope Pius VII extended the celebration to the whole Latin Church. He was assigned on the third Sunday of September. In 1913, Pope Pius X transferred the feast to September 15, the day after the feast of the cross. It is still observed on that date.

In 1969 the celebration of Passion Week was removed from the Roman General Calendar as a duplicate of the feast of September 15th. [11] Each of the two celebrations had been called a feast of "The seven sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary" (in Latin: Septem Dolorum Beatae Mariae Virginis) and included the recitation of the Stabat Mater as a sequence. Since then, the feast of September 15 that combines and continues both is known as the feast of the "Our Lady of Sorrows" (in Latin: Beatae Mariae Virginis Perdolentis), and the recitation of the Stabat Mater is optional.

Observance of the calendar as it is in 1962 is still allowed as an extraordinary form of the Roman rite, and although the calendar revised in 1969 is in use, some countries, such as Malta, have kept it in their national calendars. In each country, the 2002 edition of the Roman Missal provides an alternative collection for this Friday:

O God, that this season
offer grace to your Church
to devoutly imitate the Blessed Virgin Mary
in contemplating the Passion of Christ,
grant us, we pray, through his intercession,
that we can hold on more firmly every day
to your Only Begotten Son
and finally come to the fullness of his grace.

In some Mediterranean countries, parishioners traditionally carry statues of Our Lady of Sorrows in processions on the days leading up to Good Friday.
