Eternal Father,

open my heart

to welcome with joy and patience

evidence of life

to bring them to you

what precious gems

of hope and salvation

for all humanity.

Today, Holy Father,

I offer you the hard proof that I am living

for the conversion and salvation of (name)

For Christ our Lord,

Amen

PSALM 31
In you, Lord, I took refuge,
I will never be disappointed;
for your justice save me.
Give me your ear,
come quickly to free me.
Be for me the cliff that welcomes me,
the shelter belt that saves me.
You are my rock and my bulwark,
for your name direct my steps.
Untie me from the snare they held for me,
because you are my defense.
I rely on your hands;
you redeem me, Lord, faithful God.
You hate those who serve fake idols,
but I have faith in the Lord.
I will exult with joy for your grace,
because you looked at my misery,
you have known my anxieties;
9 you did not deliver me into the hands of the enemy,
you led my steps off.
10 Have mercy on me, Lord, I am in trouble;
my eyes melt with tears,
my soul and my bowels.
11 My life is consumed in pain,
my years pass in moaning;
my vigor dries up,
all my bones dissolve.
12 I am inebriated by my enemies,
the disgust of my neighbors,
the horror of my acquaintances;
whoever sees me on the street escapes me.
13 I fell into oblivion like a dead man,
I have become a waste.
14 If I hear the slander of many, terror surrounds me;
when they conspire together against me,
they plan to take my life.
15 But I trust in you, Lord;
I say: "You are my God,
16 in your hands are my days ».
Free me from the hand of my enemies,
from the hold of my persecutors:
17 make your face shine on your servant,
save me for your mercy.
18 Lord, that I should not be confused, because I have invoked you;
the wicked are confused, keep silent in the underworld.
19 He silences his lips with lies,
who say insolences against the just
with pride and contempt.
20 How great is your goodness, Lord!
You reserve it for those who fear you,
fill those who take refuge in you
before everyone's eyes.
21 You hide them in the shelter of your face,
away from men's intrigues;
put them safe in your tent,
away from the brawl of languages.
22 Blessed be the Lord,
who has done wonders of grace for me
in an inaccessible fortress.
23 I said in my dismay:
"I am excluded from your presence."
Instead, you listened to the voice of my prayer
when I shouted for you.
24 Love the Lord, you all his saints;
the Lord protects his faithful
and pays the proud back beyond measure.
25 Be strong, take courage,
O all of you who hope in the Lord.
