Prayer to bring families together in love

Lord Jesus Christ, you have loved and still love the Church your Bride of perfect love: You have given Your life as Son of God so that it may be "holy and irreproachable in Love, under Your gaze".

For the intercession of the Virgin Mary, Your and our Mother, Refuge of sinners and Queen of families, with Joseph, her husband and your adoptive father, we pray you to bless all the families of the earth.

Renews the source of blessings of the sacrament of marriage for the Christian families.

Grant to husbands to be, like St. Joseph, the humble and faithful servants of their brides and children; he grants the brides, through Mary, an inexhaustible gift of tenderness and the treasures of patience; grant the children to let themselves be guided in love by their parents, like You, Jesus, you submitted to yours in Nazareth, and you obeyed Your Father in everything.

Unite families in you more and more, as you and the Church are one, in the love of the Father and in the communion of the Holy Spirit.

We pray to you, Lord, also for divided couples, for separated or divorced spouses, for wounded children and rebellious children, grant them your peace, with Mary we beg you!

Make their cross fruitful, help them to live in union with Your Passion, Your Death and Your Resurrection; console them during trials, heal all their heart wounds; it gives the spouses the courage to forgive from the depths, in Your name, the spouse who has offended them, and who is in turn injured; lead them to reconciliation.

Be present in everyone with your love, and to those who are united by the sacrament of marriage grant the grace to draw from it the strength to be faithful, for the salvation of their family

We ask you again, Lord, for the spouses who have been separated from their spouse since his death: You who died and rose again, You who are life, give them to believe that Love is stronger than death, and that this certainty is for them a source of hope.

Beloved Father, so rich in mercy, by the power of your Spirit, gather in Jesus, through Mary, all the families, united or divided, so that one day we can all take part in Your eternal joy together.

Amen.
