Prayer of Saint Bernard to be recited today to ask for a grace

Today the Church commemorates "San Bernardo di Chiaravalle"

Prayer to ask for a grace
My dearest Lord Jesus Christ, meek Lamb of God, I, a poor sinner, adore you and consider the most painful wound on your shoulder opened by the heavy cross you carried for me. I thank you for your immense gift of love for the Redemption and I hope for the graces that you have promised to those who contemplate your passion and the atrocious wound of your shoulder. Jesus, my Savior, encouraged by You to ask for what I desire, I ask You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit for me, for all Your Church, and for the grace (...asking for the desired grace); let it be all for Your glory and my greater good according to the Heart of the Father. Amen.

three Pater, three Ave, three Gloria

Saint Bernard, Abbot of Chiaravalle, asked Our Lord in prayer what was the greatest pain suffered in the body during his Passion. He was answered: “I had a wound on my shoulder, three fingers deep, and three bones uncovered to carry the cross: this wound gave me greater pain and pain than all the others and is not known by men. But you reveal it to the Christian faithful and know that any grace they ask of me by virtue of this plague will be granted to them; and to all those who, out of love for her, will honor me with three Pater, three Ave and three Gloria a day I will forgive venial sins and I will no longer remember mortals and they will not die of sudden death and on their deathbed they will be visited by the Blessed Virgin and will achieve grace and mercy".
