Prayer to Saint Joseph for difficult causes

O you who have never been invoked in vain!
You who are so powerful close to God to the point that it has been possible to affirm:
"In Heaven Joseph intercedes rather than beg",
tender father, pray for us;
be our advocate close to this divine Son
whose putative father and faithful protector you have been here on earth;
add to all your glories,
to overcome the difficult cause that we entrust to you.
We believe that you can fulfill our request
freeing us from the pains that afflict us.
We firmly believe that you will not deny anything to the afflicted who beg you.
Humbly prostrate at your feet, good Joseph,
we beg you, have mercy on our tears;
cover us with the cloak of your mercy and bless us all.
