PRAYER TO THE BV MARIA DEL MONTE CARMELO to ask for a grace

O God, come save me
O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory to the Father ...

O Virgin Mary, Mother and Queen of Carmel, on this day that recalls your maternal tenderness for those who piously wear the holy Scapular, we raise our prayers and, with the confidence of children, we implore your patronage.
You see, O most holy Virgin, how many temporal and spiritual trials afflict us: turn your gaze of mercy on these miseries, and free them from us who invoke you, but also free those who do not invoke you, so that they learn to invoke you.
The title with which we celebrate you today recalls the place chosen by God to reconcile with his people, when he repented wanted to return to him. In fact, from Mount Carmel, the prophet Elijah raised the prayer which, after a long drought, it obtained the refreshing rain, a sign of God's forgiveness: the holy Prophet announced it with joy when he saw a white cloud rise from the sea which soon covered the sky. In that little cloud, or Immaculate Virgin, your Carmelite children have seen you, a very pure sort of humanity's contaminated sea, who in Christ have given us an abundance of all good; and with that vision in their hearts they went and went into the world to speak and testify to you, your teachings, your virtues. On this holy day be a source of grace and blessings for us.
Ave Maria

To show your affection more clearly, O our Mother, You recognize as a symbol of our filial devotion the Scapular that we piously wear in your honor and that You consider as your garment, and we as a sign of our consecration to You.
We want to thank you, o Maria, for your Scapular. How many times, however, we have made little account of it; how many educated have we neglected that dress which was to be a symbol and a call to your virtues for us! But You forgive us and make your holy Scapular defend us against the enemies of the soul and body, recalling the thought of You and love in the moment in the moment of temptation and danger.
O our holy Mother, on this day that remembers your continuous goodness towards us who live the spirituality of Carmel, moved and confident, we repeat the prayer that the Order has consecrated to you for centuries:

“Fior del Carmelo - flourishing vine
splendor of the sky,
you only - you are a Virgin, Mary.
Mild - and intemerated - mother
to your children - be auspicious - star of the sea ".

This invocation marks the dawn of a new era of holiness for all peoples, for the Church and for Carmel. We wish to remain steadfast in this noble purpose, so that the words that interest Carmel so much from the very first moments of his existence become reality: “Many times and in many ways the holy fathers have established that each one must live in the respect of Jesus Christ and serve faithfully to him with a pure heart and good conscience ”.
Ave Maria

O Mary, your love is great for all the devotees of your Scapular. Not content with helping them to live in order to avoid eternal condemnation, you take care to shorten the penalties of Purgatory for them, to speed up entry into Paradise. This is a grace, O Mary, which makes all the other graces more luminous, and worthy of a merciful mother as you are.
Truly as queen of Purgatory, You can mitigate the pains of those souls, still far from the joy of God. Have mercy on Mary, therefore, of all your children who, full of hope, wait to enter heaven to see and hear it what eye ever saw and man's ear never heard. On this beautiful day may the power of your maternal intercession be revealed to them.
We beg you, O Virgin, for the souls of our loved ones and for those who were clothed with your Scapular in life and committed to wearing it with decorum, but we do not want to forget all the others who await the gift of the heavenly vision. For all you get that, purified by the innocent Blood of Christ, they are admitted to endless happiness as soon as possible. We too pray you! For the last moments of our pilgrimage to Christ, because nothing prevents us from welcoming him in his new coming. Take us by the hand and guide us to the enjoyment of the fruits of your Carmel, garden of eternal delights.
Ave Maria

We would like to ask you all the other graces, O our sweetest Mother! On this day that our fathers dedicated to gratitude for you, we beg you to benefit from us again. Impetrate the grace of the evils of body and spirit; grant us the graces of a temporal order that we would like to ask you for us and for our neighbors.
You can fulfill our requests; and we trust that you will grant them for the love you have for your Jesus and for us, that we have been entrusted to you as children.
And now bless us all, O Mother of the Church and Queen of Carmel. Bless the Supreme Pontiff who, in the name of Jesus, leads the people of God to the fertile pastures; grant him the joy of finding a prompt and loyal answer to all his initiatives for the benefit of man. Bless the bishops, our pastors; priestly and religious vocations, hopes of the Church; all priests. Bless how much they suffer because of the dryness of the spirit and the trials of life. Illuminate sad souls and inflame dry hearts.
Support those who zealous your devotions by proposing the Scapular of Carmel as a call to imitate your virtues.
Finally, bless the souls of Purgatory: free those who have been devoted to you with concern. Be with us always, in joy and in tears, now and in the moment when the earthly day will die out.
The hymn of thanksgiving that has begun here is muted in a song of praise in the heavens where you live with Christ, king and Lord for all ages. AMEN
Ave Maria

- Pray for us, Mother and Queen of Carmel.
- Because we are made worthy of the promises of Christ.

LET US PRAY: Assist your faithful, O Lord, in the journey of life; and through the intercession of the blessed Virgin Mary, mother and queen of Carmel, let us happily reach the holy mountain, Christ Jesus, who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
