Prayer for peace in the family
O God, author of peace and loving custodian of charity, looks upon our family benevolently and mercifully. See, O Lord, how often he is in discord and how peace moves away from it. Have mercy on us. Make peace return, because only you can grant it to us.
O Jesus, King of Peace, hear us through the merits of Mary Most Holy, Queen of Peace, and also through the merits of your faithful servant, Saint Rita, whom you enriched with such charity and sweetness as to be an angel of peace wherever she saw discord. And you, dear Saint, pray to obtain this grace from the Lord for our family and for all families in difficulty. Amen.

O glorious Saint Rita, although you got married to obey your parents, you became an excellent Christian bride and a good mother. Get God's help for me too, so that I can live my married life well. Pray that I will have the strength to remain faithful to God and my husband. Take care of us, of the children that the Lord will want to give us, of the various commitments that we will have to face. Let nothing disturb our concord. The angels of peace assist our home, remove discord and increase the understanding and love that unites souls redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Grant that, even through your intercession, one day we come to praise God in heaven, in the Kingdom of eternal and perfect love.
Expectant mother's prayer
At your birth, o Saint Rita, you had the symbolic name of a gem and a flower. Look lovingly at me that I am about to become a mother. You too became a mother of two children, whom you loved and educated as only a holy mother can do. Pray for the Lord to grant me the grace of the child, whom we await with my husband as a gift from heaven. As of now we offer it to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary and we also entrust it to your protection. May the miracle of a new life blessed by God be performed in joy.

O Immaculate Virgin, mother of Jesus and my mother, through the intercession of Saint Rita, help me in the sweet and serious responsibility of being a mother. To you I entrust, O Mother, the children whom I love so much and for whom I am anxious, I hope and rejoice. Teach me to guide them like Saint Rita, with a sure hand in the way of God. Make me tender without weakness and strong without hardness. Get me that loving patience that never tires and offers and endures for the eternal salvation of its creatures. Help me, Mother. Form my heart in the image of yours and make my children see in me a reflection of your virtues, so that, after learning from me to love and follow you in this life, they come one day to praise you and bless you in heaven. Mary, Queen of Saints, you also have the protection of Saint Rita for my children.

Saint Rita of Cascia, model of brides, family mothers and religious, I resort to your intercession in the most difficult moments of my life. You know that sadness often oppresses me, because I can't find the way out in so many painful situations. Get the graces I need from the Lord, especially the serene trust in God and inner calm. Arrange for me to imitate your sweet gentleness, your strength in trials and your heroic charity and ask the Lord that my sufferings can benefit all my loved ones and that everyone can be saved for eternity.
