Girl after stroke defies medical prognosis and against all odds starts walking again

For doctors, the girl 11-year-old Natalie Bentos-Pereira would never walk after a stroke. Against all odds Natalie gets up.

Natalie is an 11-year-old girl from South Carolina, who at just 11 years old in 2017, suffered a spinal stroke. One day she Natalie woke up with back pain, but she still decided to go on with the days without thinking too much about it, until her pain became too strong.

Parents took her to the hospital, and there diagnosis it was terrible. For the doctors, their little girl, she would never walk again.

Margaret and Gerardo, you don't they surrendered, and decided to keep the prognosis a secret from their daughter. Thus they began to turn to other doctors, to continue to hope. But the answer was always the same, the girl would never walk again. Natalie's courageous parents then decided to challenge these predictions, and to prove them wrong.

Natalie doesn't give up and gets back on her feet

Thus began a long journey for Natalie therapy and rehabilitation, which lasted three years, during which the girl did not give up a single minute, until she began to walk again with a walker.

From there the girl moved on to water therapy and for her who loved swimming, it was a very happy moment. Against all odds, this courageous girl, who never gave up, started walking again, one step after another, proving to everyone that sometimes the will can go where science stops.
