Quick devotions: your brother's blood

Quick devotions, your brother's blood: Abel was the first person to be killed in human history and his brother, Cain, was the first murderer. Scripture Reading - Genesis 4: 1-12 “Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. ”- Genesis 4:10

How did he do Cain to do such a terrible thing? Cain was jealous and angry because God did not look favorably on his offering. But Cain did not give God the best of his soil fruits. He simply gave some, and that dishonored God. God explained to Cain that he simply needed to do what was right, but Cain refused to listen. He didn't control his anger or jealousy and killed his brother.

Although anger may be one of our innate character traits, we need to master it. We can be angry, but it's a shame not to manage our anger.

Abel he was a victim of Cain's selfishness and wickedness. How undeserving was his death! How excruciating was the pain in his heart when his brother killed him? If we felt such a hatred for God's service by faith, how painful would it be?

God understands our pain frominjustice and from pain. The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. ”God recognized Abel's pain and defended it.

We have to go the path of faith, as did Abel. God will guide our steps, recognize our pain and follow justice.

Prayer: God, you understand our hearts and our pains. Help us serve you and do what is right by caring for others and not hurting them. For love of Jesus, amen.
