Renato Zero tells us about his religious faith

Through his songs and his music, Renato Zero talks about faith and its change, about the love for life. Love is one of the first themes dealt with by the Roman singer-songwriter who explains to us: “Love doesn't just have to
represent a relationship of two but also give continuity to the species. I strongly condemn contraceptive abortion; then if others do not preserve life, my duty is to do so, as when in “Dreams in
darkness "I gave voice to an embryo". Renato Zero is against abortion
Life is a gift from God and, as such, it has its dignity. Life must be loved from every point of view and what is born must be preserved and lived.

In 2005 he performed for the first time in the Vatican singing "Life is a gift", a song written thinking both of our beloved Pope Karol Wojtyla and his first granddaughter. It was very important and exciting
for him that concert. Renato Zero in his songs has never denied his faith in God and the Madonna, a strong and powerful love. A firm and certain faith that he was taught from an early age. His faith leads him to see Christ everywhere. He also declares that God must be sought within us, not elsewhere. So many were the songs through which his faith was declared, his conversion was told.

We remember him in the 80s when he sang "It could be God", or when he sang "Ave Maria" brought to Sanremo in '95. humanity: “Jesus: we are no longer like you. Jesus: anger is guilty. As beggars we now migrate, through mountains, seas and dangers ”. “There is a sun you don't see, he talks to you and you believe him. This is faith ”- wrote Renato in 2018. If someone asks him what faith is, he replies like this: “I thank God for never forgetting me”.
Life, faith, God: we must not be afraid to believe in the Father who is in heaven. And Renato Zero has fully described it to us in his songs and his daily life.
