Reflect today on the fact that Jesus wishes to obtain the purification of his Church

Jesus entered the temple area and drove out those who sold things, telling them, “It is written, My house will be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves. "Luke 19: 45-46

This passage reveals not only something Jesus did a long time ago, but also reveals something he wishes to do today. Furthermore, he wishes to do this in two ways: he wishes to eradicate all evil in the temple of our world and he wishes to eradicate all evil in the temple of our hearts.

Regarding the first point, it is clear that the evil and ambition of many throughout history have penetrated our Church and the world. This is nothing new. It is very likely that everyone has suffered some kind of pain from those within the Church itself, from society and even from the family. Jesus does not promise perfection from those we meet every day, but he promises to vigorously pursue evil and eradicate it.

Regarding the second and most important point, we should see this passage as a lesson for our soul. Each soul is a temple that should be set aside solely for the glory of God and the fulfillment of His holy will. Therefore, this passage is fulfilled today if we allow our Lord to enter and see the evil and filth in our souls. This may not be easy and will require true humility and surrender, but the end result will be purification and purification by our Lord.

Reflect today on the fact that Jesus desires purification in many ways. You want to purify the Church as a whole, every society and community, your family and especially your soul. Don't be afraid to let Jesus' holy wrath work his power. Pray for purification on all levels and let Jesus carry out his mission.

Lord, I pray for the purification of our world, of our Church, of our families and above all of my soul. I invite you to come to me this day to reveal to me what grieves you most. I invite you to eradicate, in my heart, all that you regret. Jesus I believe in you.
