Thanksgiving to the Trinity "I tasted and saw"

O eternal Deity, or eternal Trinity, who, by union with the divine nature, have made so much worth the blood of your Only Begotten Son! You, eternal Trinity, are like a deep sea, in which the more I seek and the more I find; and the more I find, the more the thirst for looking for you grows. You are insatiable; and the soul, being satisfied in your abyss, is not satisfied, because it remains hungry for you, ever more longing for you, O eternal Trinity, desiring to see you with the light of your light.
I have tasted and seen with the light of the intellect in your light your abyss, or eternal Trinity, and the beauty of your creature. For this reason, seeing me in you, I saw that I am your image for that intelligence which is given to me by your power, O eternal Father, and by your wisdom, which is appropriate to your Only Begotten Son. The Holy Spirit then, who proceeds from you and your Son, has given me the will with which I can love you.
For you, eternal Trinity, are creator and I creature; and I knew - because you gave me the intelligence, when you recreated me with the blood of your Son - that you are in love with the beauty of your creature.
O abyss, or eternal Trinity, or Deity, or deep sea! And what more could you give me than yourself? You are a fire that always burns and is not consumed. You are the one who consumes every love of the soul with your warmth. You are fire that removes all coldness, and illuminate your minds with your light, with that light with which you made me know your truth.
Reflecting myself in this light, I know you as the highest good, good above all good, happy good, incomprehensible good, priceless good. Beauty above all beauty. Wisdom above all wisdom. Indeed, you are the same wisdom. You food of angels, who with fire of love you gave yourself to men.
You dress that covers all my nakedness. You food that feeds the hungry with your sweetness. You are sweet without any bitterness. O eternal Trinity!
