Autumn Portrait

Looking out of my window
In the golden light of October,
I see unsurpassed beauty,
A truly enchanting sight.

The leaves say sweet goodbyes
As they float down
To create a natural carpet
Of yellow, red and brown.

The tops of the mountains now turn white,
Wind of winter chills,
While trees, like golden rivers,
They climb through the hills.

During the creation of our world
Will you ever find it like this,
Color kaleidoscopes,
In the hand of God, the artist's brush.
