SACRED MANTLE OF SAN GIUSEPPE

The origin of the devotion to the Sacred Mantle of San Giuseppe dates back to 22 August 1882, the date on which the Archbishop of Lanciano Mons. FM Petrarca approved the devotion to this practice, inviting the faithful to make frequent use of it.
These prayers are to be recited for thirty consecutive days in memory of the 30 years of life of St. Joseph alongside Jesus. The graces that are obtained by resorting to St. Joseph are without number. It is a good thing to approach the sacraments and promote the cult of the saint.

Prayers

1) Hello or glorious Saint Joseph, guardian of the incomparable treasures of Heaven and Davidic father of the One who feeds all creatures. After Mary Most Holy you are the most worthy saint of our love and deserving of our veneration. Of all the Saints, you alone had the honor of raising, guiding, feeding and embracing the Messiah, whom so many Prophets and Kings had desired to see.
St. Joseph, save my soul and obtain for me from Divine Mercy the grace that I humbly implore. I also remind you of the blessed souls of Purgatory so that you may obtain great relief for them in their pains.
3 GLORY TO THE FATHER

2) Powerful Saint Joseph, who was proclaimed universal patron of the Church, I invoke you among all the Saints, as a very strong protector of the poor and I bless your heart a thousand times, always ready to help all sorts of needs. To you, dear Saint Joseph, the widow, the orphan, the abandoned, the afflicted, all sorts of unfortunate people appeal. Since there is no pain, anguish or misfortune that you have not mercifully helped, deign, for the gifts that God has put into your hands, to obtain the grace that I ask of you. You too, holy souls in Purgatory, beg Saint Joseph for me.
3 GLORY TO THE FATHER

3) You, dear Saint, who know all my needs, even before I expose them with prayer, you know how much I need the grace that I ask of you. My grieving soul finds no rest amidst the pains. No human heart could understand my anguish; even if I found compassion with some charitable soul, it could not help me. Instead you gave comfort and peace, thanks and favors to many people who prayed to you before me; for this reason I bow down to you and beg you under the heavy weight that oppresses me.
I appeal to you or Saint Joseph and I hope you will not reject me, since Saint Teresa said and left written in her memoirs: "Any grace asked of Saint Joseph will certainly be granted".
O Saint Joseph, comforter of the afflicted, have mercy on my pain and bring to the divine light and happiness the holy souls of Purgatory, who hope so much from our prayers.
3 GLORY TO THE FATHER

4) Most Holy Saint, have mercy on me for your most perfect obedience to God.
For your holy life full of merits, grant me.
For your dearest Name, help me.
For your very heart, help me.
For your holy tears, comfort me.
For your pains, have compassion on me.
For your rejoicing, console my heart.
Free me from all evil of body and soul.
Save me from every danger and misfortune.
Help me with your holy protection and, in your mercy and power, obtain for me what I need and above all the grace that I particularly need. To the dear souls of Purgatory you get the prompt release from their pains.
3 GLORY TO THE FATHER

5) Glorious St. Joseph are countless graces and favors, which you obtain for the poor afflicted. All those who are sick, oppressed, hungry and offended in their human dignity, slandered, betrayed, implore your royal protection, certain that they will be answered in their questions.
Do not allow, dear Saint Joseph, that I am the only one of many benefited people to remain devoid of the grace I ask of you. Show yourself also powerful and generous towards me and I will thank you as my great protector and particular liberator of the holy souls of Purgatory.
3 GLORY TO THE FATHER

6) Eternal divine Father, by the merits of Jesus and Mary, deign to grant me the grace that I implore. In the name of Jesus and Mary, I prostrate myself reverently in your divine presence and I beg you earnestly to accept my firm decision to be among the many who live under the protection of St. Joseph. So bless the precious mantle, which I dedicate to him today as a sign of my devotion.
