Saint Faustina tells us the difficulties in prayer (from her diary)

Saint Faustina exposes some of the difficulties that we can meet in prayer. There are both internal and external difficulties that we encounter in prayer. These difficulties are overcome with patience and perseverance. There are external difficulties such as fear of what others may think or say and set aside time. These difficulties are overcome with humility and diligence (see journal # 147).

Search for set a daily time for prayer and do not be afraid if others are aware of this commitment. Make it a time when you put aside all distractions and focus diligently on God's voice. Try kneeling or, better yet, prostrate yourself before our Lord. Kneel or lie down in front of the crucifix in your room or in front of the Blessed Sacrament in church. According to Saint Faustina, if you do this, you will most likely encounter immediate temptations and difficulties. Don't be surprised by this. You will find yourself thinking of other things you should do and may even worry that others find out that you are praying. Persevere, stay focused and pray. Pray deeply and pray intensely and you will see the good fruits of this commitment in your life.

Prayer is the source of daily grace, according to Saint Faustina

Lord, give me the strength I need to persevere in every difficulty that tries to keep me from praying with You. Make me strong so that I can put aside any struggle or temptation that comes my way. And as I continue in this new life of prayer, please take my life and form me in a new creation in your love and mercy. Jesus I believe in you.

Do you pray? Not only every now and then, during Sunday mass or before meals. But do you really pray every day? Do you spend moments alone talking to God from the bottom of your heart and letting Him answer you? Do you allow him to start a love conversation with you every day and all day long? Reflect, today, about your habit of prayer, as Saint Faustina advises us in her diary. Consider whether you can honestly say that your daily conversation with God is the most important conversation you have every day. Make this a priority, priority number one and everything else will fall into place.
