Saint Faustina tells us why God is sometimes silent

Sometimes, when we try to get to know our merciful Lord even more, he will seem to be silent. Maybe sin got in the way or maybe you allowed your idea of God to cloud His true voice and true presence. Other times, Jesus hides his presence and remains hidden for a reason. It does this to draw us deeper. Don't worry if God seems silent for this reason. It is always part of the journey (see diary no. 18). Reflect today on what God seems to be present. Perhaps he is abundantly present, perhaps he seems distant. Now put it aside and realize that God is always intimately present to you, whether you want to or not. Trust Him and know that He is always with you regardless of how you feel. If it seems distant to you, first examine your conscience, admit any sin that may be in the way, then do an act of love and trust in the midst of whatever you are going through. Lord, I trust in You because I believe in You and in your infinite love for me. I trust that you are always there and that you care about me in all moments of my life. When I cannot feel your divine presence in my life, help me to seek you and have even more trust in you. Jesus I believe in you.

4 prayers of Saint Faustina
1- “O Lord, I want to be completely transformed into Your mercy and be Your living reflection. May the greatest of all divine attributes, that of Your unfathomable mercy, pass through my heart and soul to my neighbor.
2-Help me, O Lord, so that my eyes are merciful, so that I can never suspect or judge from appearances, but look for what is beautiful in the soul of my neighbors and come to their aid.
3-Help me, O Lord, so that my ears are merciful, so that I can pay attention to the needs of my neighbors and not be indifferent to their pains and groans.
4-Help me, O Lord, so that my tongue is merciful, so that I never speak negatively about my neighbor, but have a word of comfort and forgiveness for everyone.
