Santa Rita and the miracle of little Rita, only 4 years old

This is the story of Rita, a 4-year-old girl suffering from a very rare disease, so rare that she is the only one in the world to be affected by it. Her story and that of her family are inextricably linked to that of Santa Ritaconsidered part of the family.

Rita's parents met in Cascia, during a pilgrimage trip to visit the places of Santa Rita. They met on the bus and it was love right away. From that union was born the eldest daughter Chanel Rita.

Rita and her unexplained progress

Soon after it is born Rita, affected by the variation of chromosome 13. The little girl didn't do the same things as other children right away and when the doctors discovered the disease she was suffering from, they told her parents that she would live paralyzed in bed. But Rita not only walked, but she had also managed to speak.

For doctors something really inexplicable. For the parents thanks to Santa Rita and the enormous faith that guided them. The parents, in their countless trips to Cascia, brought back gifts adhesives of Santa Rita that they gave to the teachers. The story of this saint goes hand in hand with the growth, life and sacrifices of this family. The saint is always with them, as one faithful friend who accompanies them and protects them and they always carry her in their hearts and try to make her known and to tell her life everywhere.

Rita's mother, when she was holding her on her lap, dreamed of the statue of Saint Rita, who explicitly told her that this time she would helped, but not next time. The saint kept her promise.

The little girl is divided between physiotherapy, pranks, quarrels with her little sister and makes small progress, each of which represents a small miracle. For every new battle, every change, every therapy, Santa Rita watches over her and even if she can never heal, this gives her the strength to carry on and hope.
