SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS. PRAYER TO THE SAINTS OF PARADISE to ask for a grace

O heavenly spirits and you all Saints of Paradise, turn your gaze upon us pitying, still wandering in this valley of pain and misery.

You now enjoy the glory you have earned by sowing tears in this land of exile. God is now the reward of your labors, the beginning, the object and the end of your enjoyments. O blessed souls, intercede for us!

Get all of us to follow faithfully in your footsteps, to follow your examples of zeal and ardent love for Jesus and souls, to copy your virtues within us, so that we may one day share in immortal glory.
Amen.

O all of you who reign with God in heaven, from the glorious seats of your bliss,
turn a pitying gaze upon us, exiled from the heavenly homeland.
You collected the large harvest of good works,
that you were sowing with tears in this land of exile.
God is now the reward of your labors and the object of your joy.
O blessed in heaven, get us to walk behind your examples
and to copy your virtues in ourselves, so that, imitating you on earth,
we become partakers of glory in heaven with you. So be it.

O God, good and merciful Father, we thank you because in every age
you renew and vivify your Church, raising up the Saints in her womb: through
you make them shine the variety and richness of the gifts of your Spirit of love.
We know that the Saints, weak and fragile like us, have understood the true meaning of life, lived in the heroism of faith, hope and charity,
they perfectly imitated your Son, and now, close to Jesus in glory, they are our models and intercessors.
We thank you because you wanted communion to continue between us and the Saints
of life in the unity of the same mystical Body of Christ.
We ask you, O Lord, for the grace and strength to be able to follow the path
that they traced us, so that at the end of our earthly existence
we can come with them to the beatific possession of light and your glory.
