Spain: the priest doubts and the host begins to bleed

Human intelligence has a hard time believing that bread and wine can be made into true flesh and true blood of Jesus, because in the act of consecration nothing is visible to the eyes of men, while faith leads us to firmly believe in the words of Jesus. Eucharistic miracles confirm precisely the words of Jesus and, in fact, strengthen faith and demonstrate the real presence of the Body and of the Blood of the Lord in the Eucharistic bread. These prodigious facts challenge our rationality which is struggling to surrender to the supernatural, but nothing is impossible to God nor that "in the bread is hidden from the humanity of Jesus".

In 1370 the parish priest of Cinballa during the celebration of Sunday Mass he was assailed by serious doubts about the real presence of Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. At the moment of the consecration Don Tommaso saw with dismay the Host transform into real flesh and from this he began to shed so much blood spilled on the corporal. The incident strengthened the wavering faith of the celebrating priest who repented and retired to a monastery to devote himself to a life of penance and prayer. The relic was carried in procession and so the news spread everywhere. Many were the miracles attributed to the “Santísimo Misterio doubt” which having always been the object of great devotion by the faithful.
Every year, on 12 September, the memory of the miracle is celebrated in the parish church where the relic of the blood stained body is still preserved.

Recite spiritual communion every day: Lord, I ardently desire that You come into my soul, to sanctify it and make it all Yours for love, so much so that it will no longer separate from You but always live in Your grace. O Mary, prepare me to receive Jesus worthily. My God, come into my heart to purify him. My God enter my body to guard it, and let me never separate myself from Your love again. Burn, consume everything you see inside me unworthy of your presence, and of some obstacle to your grace and your love.
