In the city of Jalhayin Belgium, in 2014, an incredible sight attracted many passers-by: a statue of the Virgin Mary it lit up every evening.

The phenomenon began in mid-January with a retired couple as the main witness.

As night falls, the plaster representation of the Virgin of Banneux it lit up and then went out just as naturally.

Some faithful, who approached that statuette and touched it, also reported a miracle: their skin problems would have disappeared upon contact with the Virgin.

To understand this absolutely unique and mysterious sight in Belgium, the city of Jalhay also set up a group of experts so that the statue was analyzed.

In fact, during a meeting that took place in 2014 between the authorities of the municipality, it was decided to call a group of specialists.

Michel Fransolet, the mayor of Jalhay, explained that measures would be taken to ensure the safety of the inhabitants and the couple in question. For example, it was decided to decrease the speed limit on the street where the house is located to 30 km / h and the reduced visiting hours from 19pm to 21pm.

Father Léo Palm, from the city of Banneux, said: “It is a fact that something is happening. I can't tell you if there is a natural or a miraculous explanation ”.

Between January 15 and March 2, 1933, the Virgin Mary would appear almost eight times to a young girl, Mariette Beco.

Since then, the city of Banneux has become a place of pilgrimage. The Virgo's enlightenment began on the anniversary date of this apparition, further reinforcing the mysteries surrounding that enlightenment.
