His profession was seen as corrupt by the Jews, but Jesus he called him to follow him and Matteo became the author of one of the four Canonical Gospels, preaching the word of God to the point of martyrdom.

Saint Dismas was one of the two thieves crucified next to Jesus. While the other thief insulted Jesus, Dismas he recognized his guilt and defended him, asking for forgiveness. Jesus promised him Paradise and Dismas became the first canonized saint personally by Jesus.

Before his conversion, Saint Augustine conducted a dissolute life and was involved in vices and sins. However, after a deep repentance, he dedicated the rest of his life to the search for God and to the writing of important theological works, becoming one of the Fathers of the Church.

Saint Pelagia it was a'actress and dancer successful. He led a life of luxury surrounded by lovers and riches. After listening to a bishop who compared her with the prelates of the Church, she did he regretted it and dedicated the rest of his life to prayer and hermitage.

Saint Mary of Egypt she was a woman who lived a life of sexual pleasures and prostitution. However, after a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, he repented and dedicated the rest of his life to atonement, prayer and hermit life in the desert.

These holy sinners show us that the God's mercy and redemption they are accessible to everyone, regardless of their past experiences. They teach us that change and conversion are possible for anyone and that God always exists ready to forgive if we sincerely repent of our sins.
