Sister Lucia's revelation on the power of praying the Holy Rosary

The Portuguese Lucia Rosa dos Santos, better known as Sister Lucia of Jesus of the Immaculate Heart (1907-2005), was one of the three children who attended the apparitions of the Virgin Mary, in 1917, at Cova da Iria.

During his life of evangelization and dissemination of the Fatima message, Sister Lucia stressed the importance of prayer of the Holy Rosary.

The nun spoke about it and father Agustín Fuentes, from the diocese of Veracruz, Mexico, in a meeting that took place December 26, 1957. The priest then released the content of the conversation "with all the guarantees of authenticity and with due episcopal approval, including that of the Bishop of Fatima".

Lucia assured that there is no problem that cannot be solved with the prayer of the Rosary. “Note, Father, that the Blessed Virgin, in these last times in which we live, has given new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary. And he has given us this efficacy in such a way that there is no temporal or spiritual problem, however difficult it may be, in the personal life of each of us, our families, families of the world or religious communities, or even in life. of peoples and nations, which cannot be resolved by the Rosary ”, said the nun.

“There is no problem, I assure you, however difficult it may be, that we cannot solve it by praying the Rosary. With the Rosary we will save ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and we will obtain the salvation of many souls ”, affirmed Sister Lucia.

The Congregation for the Causes of Saints of the Holy See is currently analyzing the documentation for the beatification of Sister Lucia. She died on February 13, 2005, at the age of 97, after spending decades in the cloister of the Carmel of Coimbra, Portugal, where she received thousands of letters and visits from dozens of cardinals, priests and other religious eager to speak with the woman who saw Our Lady.
