Today we will tell you about an aedicule, in the Camogli grove in Genoa, where there is an image of the Madonna and Child. In front of this image one often stops child 12-year-old named Angela, to pray to him.

In Ruta valley, a town of few souls and lots of nature, at the point where 3 streets join, there is a newsstand, with a table depicting the Madonna with in arm Jesus child. The author of this image is unknown. In front of this table many people stop to pray, but the most assiduous is Angela.

The apparition to the little girl of the Madonna del Boschetto

In a day like many others, while Angela is absorbed in one of hers prayersan extraordinary thing happens. In front of him appears Maria addressing him with a particular proposal. Our Lady asked Mary to interpret her request and to go to the other citizens and ask them to build a church at that exact point.

Il 12 August, Pope Pius VII passing through Camogli, decides to crown the miraculous painting of the Madonna del Boschetto. The church is kept in the original statue of the Madonna del Boschetto, dressed in finely worked eighteenth-century clothes. The Madonna holds the Child Jesus who, with his right arm raised, blesses i faithful. The statue is famous for having performed numerous miracles and for being the subject of great veneration by the pilgrims who visit the place.
