I'll tell you about the great promise of Jesus that few know

In 1672 a young French girl, now known as Santa Margherita Maria Alacoque, was visited by Our Lord in a way so special and profound that it would transform the world. This visit was the spark for the devotion of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was during the numerous visits that Christ explained the devotion to the Sacred Heart and how he wanted people to practice it. To better realize the infinite love of the Son of God, manifested in the incarnation, in his passion and in the adorable sacrament of the altar, we needed a visible representation of this love. He then attributed many graces and blessings to the veneration of His lovely Sacred Heart. "Behold this Heart that loved men so much!" A heart on fire for the love of all humanity was the image requested by Our Lord. The flames that explode and envelop show the vehement love with which he loved us and loves us continuously. The crown of thorns surrounding the Heart of Jesus symbolizes the wound inflicted on him by the ingratitude with which men return his love. The Heart of Jesus surmounted by a cross is a further testimony of the love of Our Lord for us. He particularly reminds us of his bitter passion and death. The devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus originated in the moment in which that Divine Heart was pierced by the spear, the wound remained forever more on His Heart. Last but not least, the rays surrounding this precious Heart signify the great graces and blessings that emanate from devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

“I place neither limit nor measure on My gifts of grace for those who seek them in My Heart!“Our blessed Lord has commanded that all who wish to assume devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus should confess and receive Holy Communion often, especially on the first Friday of each month. Friday is significant because it remembers Good Friday when Christ took on the passion and gave his life for the many. If we failed to do so on Friday, he called us to make a point of receiving the Holy Eucharist on Sunday, or any other day, with the intention of repairing and making atonement and of rejoicing in the Heart of our Savior. He also asked to maintain devotion by venerating an image of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and making prayers and sacrifices offered out of love for him and for the conversion of sinners. Our blessed Lord then gave St.

THE GREATEST PROMISE - I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my almighty love will grant to all those who communicate (Receive Holy Communion) on the First Friday in nine consecutive months, the grace of final penance: they will not die in my misfortune, nor without having received their Sacraments. My Divine Heart will be their safe haven in this last moment. It is important to note in order to get the GREAT PROMISE that the Nine Fridays must be done in honor of the Sacred Heart of Christ, that is, to practice devotion and have great love for His Sacred Heart. They must be the first Friday of the month for nine consecutive months and Holy Communion must be received. If one were to start on the first Friday and not keep the others, it would be necessary to start over. Many great sacrifices must be made to obtain this final promise, but the grace when receiving Holy Communion on the first Friday is indescribable!
