Daily tribute of praise to the Virgin Mary: Wednesday 23 October

WEDNESDAY

PRAYER to be recited every day before reciting the Psalms
Virgin Most Holy Mother of the Incarnate Word, Treasurer of graces, and refuge of us miserable sinners, full of trust we resort to your motherly love, and we ask you for the grace to always do the will of God and of you. We deliver our heart in your most holy hands. We ask you for the health of the soul and body, and we certainly hope that you, our very loving Mother, will hear us by interceding for us; and yet with lively faith we say:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. You are blessed among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

My God I am indignant to have the gift for all the days of my life to honor your Daughter, Mother and Bride, Most Holy Mary with the following tribute of praise. You will grant it to me for your infinite mercy, and for the merits of Jesus and of Maria.
V. Enlighten me at the hour of my death, so that I do not have to fall asleep in sin.
R. So that my opponent can never boast of having prevailed against me.
V. O my God, wait to help me.
R. Hurry, O Lord, to my defense.

Glory be to the Father to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning now and always for ever and ever.

Antif. Do, O Lady, that we live in the grace of the Holy Spirit, and lead our souls to the attainment of their blessed end.

PSALM LXXXVI.
Foundation of life to the right soul: it is to persevere in your love to the end.
Your grace, O Mary, encourages the poor fellow in tribulation: and the invocation of your name inspires sincere trust in him.
Heaven is filled with the trophies of your mercy: and the infernal enemy becomes confused, struck by your righteous indignation.
A treasure of peace will find whoever hopes in you: whoever does not invoke you in life will not reach the kingdom of God.
Well! do, O Lady, that we live in the grace of the Holy Spirit: lead our souls to the attainment of their blessed end.

Glory be to the Father to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning now and always for ever and ever.

Antif. Do, O Lady, that we live in the grace of the Holy Spirit, and lead our souls to the attainment of their blessed end.

Antif. May your lovable face show me, O Mary, at the end of my life, and your heavenly semblant rejoice my spirit when it comes out of the world.

PSALM LXXXVIII.
I will eternally exalt your mercies.
With the gentle anointing of your pity, heal the downcast from the heart: and with the sweetness of your clemency, mitigate our pain.
Show me, oh Mary, in the end of my life your lovable face: and when my spirit will come out of the world, your heavenly semblant will cheer him up:
You awaken in my spirit, love to your goodness: and move your mind so that I exalt your nobility and greatness.
Well! You free me from every greatest tribulation: and watch my soul from every sin.

Glory be to the Father to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning now and always for ever and ever.

Antif. May your lovable face show me, O Mary, at the end of my life, and your heavenly semblant rejoice my spirit when it comes out of the world.

Antif. Whoever hopes for you, O Lady, will reap fruit of grace, and the doors of Heaven will be opened to him.

PSALM XC.
Those whom he trusts in the help of the Mother of God: he will dwell safely under the shadow of his protection.
The enemies, who gather against him, will not offend him: nor will a dart at him thrown touch him.
For she will look at him with insidious laces, and will assure him with her patronage.
Call upon Mary, mortals, in your perils: and you will see the scourge far from your homes.
Whoever hopes for her will reap fruits of grace: and the gates of Heaven will be opened to him.

Glory be to the Father to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning now and always for ever and ever.

Antif. Whoever hopes for you, O Lady, will reap fruit of grace, and the doors of Heaven will be opened to him.

Antif. At the end of your life, O Mary, receive our souls and bring them into the kingdom of eternal peace.

PSALM XCIV.
Come, O devout souls, and we gladly raise our heart to Mary: we greet with joyful voices the Virgin our salvation.
Let us prevent the dawn to present ourselves before her with joy: and let us praise its glories with happy songs.
Come, let us adore her prosthesis humbly at her feet: and with tears of pain let us ask her for our faults for forgiveness.
Ah! impetrateci, o Signora, full remission of our sins: be our Advocate to the divine tribunal.
Receive our souls at the end of life and bring them into the kingdom of eternal peace.

Glory be to the Father to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning now and always for ever and ever.

Antif. At the end of your life, O Mary, receive our souls and bring them into the kingdom of eternal peace.

Antif. Come to our aid, O Mary, at the extreme hour, and so we will not incur any evil, but we will achieve eternal life.

PSALM XCIX.
Address yourselves, or mortals, all to Mary our Lady with jubilation: pay her in the joy of your exultant heart faithful service.
Approach Her with all your affection: in every virtuous action of yours, do not lose track of it.
Search her with affection, and she will give you. to see: let your heart be world, and you will get love from it.
To whom you, O Lady, offer help, great peace is reserved: and those from whom you withdraw your glances, do not hope to be saved.
Deh! remember us, O Lady, and we will go free from all evil: live in our aid to death, and thus we will achieve eternal life.

Glory be to the Father to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning now and always for ever and ever.

Antif. Come to our aid, O Mary, at the extreme hour, and so we will not incur any evil, but we will achieve eternal life.
